After attending many trade schools and marrying Emilie Pelzl in 1928, he had a variety of
jobs working with his father. He also served in the Czechoslovak army. He joined the Nazi party in 1939.
During WW1, Schindler rescued more than 1,000 Jews from Auschwitz. He employed many Jewish
workers in a factory he owned. He employed 1,700 workers, and about 1,000 of them were Jewish. He
also hid many Jewish people in his factory. He also owned a sub-camp and got many Jews out
of the other camps and into his safe one. Schindler was awarded several years later, the “Righteous
Among the Nation’s” award. His wife received a similar award later, but Schindler died in Germany in
1974.
I used this source because it was a great secondary source with a lot of information. This source told
about Oskar’s childhood. It also told me about the several different ways he helped save the Jews. This
source gave me info on background, process of change, and it help me form an opinion about him.

Oskar thanked everyone who was with him and he wished them luck at finding their
homes and their loved ones. He said that everyone shouldn't blame the soldiers because
they only followed orders and did what they were told. He talked with the people that
worked with him in his factory and made them think about what they achieved. He told the
people to thank the other Jews and not him, because they put in all the hard work
This source was a primary source and it was a speech that Schindler wrote. It gave some good info
from the man himself. This source helped me find info in the modern examples tabs and it help me
form my opinion. This was a primary source. It told what kind of person Schindler was.

The only reason these people survived was because they ended up on Schindler's list. Oskar saved them
because he gained a human attachment to these people. He was known as an angel to the Jews. A book
and a film became very popular about Schindler. Oskar was the oldest child in his family. Only his
mother practiced their faith. Oskar grew up playing with a Jewish family. He saw them as normal
humans. Oskar was also a skilled driver and won many awards. He married Emilie Peltsul. Oskar
enterered the military and hated it and left as soon as he could. He then worked as a shop worker. When
Oskar was 27 his father left him and his mother and then his mother died 3 years later. Oskar didn't
speak to his father after that. He joined the Nazi party so he could make a lot of money.
This was a video source. It was also a primary source. This video interviewed several different people
from survivors to the creator of the movie Schindler’s List. It told all about Schindler and how he change
theirs and so many other people. It told a lot about modern examples, improvements on life, and my
opinion.

Schindler saved 1,200 Jews from Hitler’s death camps. He was born on April 28th, 1908
in Zwittau in Czechoslovakia. He was recruited by the German Intelligence Agency. He
left his wife, Emilie, and moved the Krakow. Bribes in the shape of money and illegal
black market flowed copiously from Schindler and gave him control of a Jewish- owned
enameled-goods factory, Schindler realized how bad the Nazi’s were so he went to see
the Jews. He saw what they were living through and their conditions. He risked all his
money from the factory and everything else, to save the Jews. Schindler got those Jews
out and into a sub camp that he ran, but protected them. He also started hiring Jews at
his factory. He fed them and tool care of them. Almost all the Jews in his camp and
factory survived. After the war, Schindler failed at being a film producer, and he failed at
getting into the US because he was part of the Nazi party.
I used this source because it gave me good info for modern examples, improvements of life, and it also
helped me form my opinion. This source had the most information about Schindler. It gave me the most
info for the whole website. This source was also a very large secondary source.

Schindler was born into a middle-class Catholic family in 1908. In 1939, he joined the
Nazi party. He made a fortune when he took over a factory in Krakow. He was very safe
with his Jewish workers because of the war. The Auschwitz camp went people to get the
Jews but Schindler defended them and he got them to stay. When the Nazi’s came to
Krakow, Schindler ask to make a sub-camp for the Nazi’s at his factory where he kept
them safe. “The unforgettable rescuerer of 1,200 persecuted Jews.
This was a good secondary source. It told a little bit more about his childhood and his family. This
source told more about the time of the war and about the camps. It told about how Schindler saved some
Jews from the worse camp of them all, Auschwitz. This source help mainly in the improvements to life.

Moshe Beyski heard about Schindler’s camp and how no one was killed there. One of friends was
accuse for breaking a machine while they were in Schindler's camp and a guard was there to fix the
problem and took him back for execution. Schindler rushed to the camp and bribed the guard and saved
his life. He is still alive today. Schindler hired both men and women while most places didn't. The
greatest thing that Schindler did was rescued the men form Goleszow. Schindler found out that they
were hiding jews at a train station and schindler went there to help. He took them without any authority,
and he got past the railway authorities. The doors on the carriages were welded shut and they had to use
welders from his shop to open them. 17 people were already dead in the carriages. He said they all looked
like skeletons. He took them to Schindlers factory. Schindler's wife would bring cereal to the locked up.
Moshe only had a shaver. The Jews got a gift for schindler and they made him a gold ring out of someones teeth. On Schindler's birthday he gave everyone in his camp bread that they haven't seen for years.
This source was a first hand interview (video) from one of the survivors of the Holocaust. He was saved by Schindler. The interview told a lot about schindler and his life. It told about how he changed the lives of many people. It help with the modern examples tab, the process for change tab, and the opinion tab. This was probably the most useful source.
